Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

RTB Compliance Checker is operated as a free tool by NestHub, an Irish property management platform. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our compliance checking and document generation tools at rtbchecker.ie.

2. What data we collect

Data you enter into forms: Compliance checks and document previews are processed entirely in your browser. The data you enter (tenancy dates, rent amounts, property addresses, names, etc.) is not sent to us unless you choose to buy a document.

Purchased documents: When you choose to unlock a document, its full text (which includes the names and addresses you entered) is sent to our server and stored so that we can deliver it to you once Stripe confirms your payment. Stored documents are deleted after 30 days.

Email address: If you subscribe to law-change updates, we store your email address and use it only to send those updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, referral sources, approximate location, and events such as running a check or generating a document). The content of the forms you fill in is never sent to Google Analytics.

3. Cookies

Google Analytics cookies, which distinguish visitors, are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page. We do not use advertising cookies. Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout page when you make a payment.

4. Third-party services

Firebase Hosting: Our site is hosted on Google Firebase. Firebase may log standard web server access logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of normal operations. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Google Firebase (Cloud Functions and Firestore): Stores purchased documents and email subscriptions as described above.

Google Analytics: Usage analytics. See policies.google.com/privacy for Google's data practices.

Stripe: If you make a payment, Stripe processes the transaction. We do not store payment card details. See stripe.com/privacy for their practices.

5. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you (purchased documents and email subscriptions), and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

6. Children

This service is intended for use by landlords, tenants, and property professionals. It is not directed at children under 18.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
